BOZEMAN, MONTANA
BOZEMAN CATTLE RANCH
MRD was tasked with identifying a location on the ranch that had the potential to become the natural focal point. The sparsely wooded ravine and beautiful rock outcroppings required careful site survey analysis to ensure that a two-tiered lined pond system was not only doable, but that it could seamlessly integrate within the site, achieving the form and functionality as though it had always been there.
Now, a recirculating stream of 2,500 gallons per minute daylights above an ancient ephemeral waterfall before tumbling into the upper pond, which is surrounded by hundred-plus-year-old cedar and juniper.
